Borko

A sheltered bay on Čiovo, minutes from Trogir, with a family konoba at the head of it. The boat ties up at the jetty and you step straight ashore — no tender, no queue, no walk.

Borko is on almost every route we run, for a simple reason: it is the one lunch stop where the logistics disappear. We come alongside, you walk twenty metres, and the table is in the shade. Because it sits on Čiovo, just around the corner from Trogir, it also works as the last stop before home.

The cooking is what you would hope for on this coast — grilled fish, lamb from the peka, local wine, and no menu translated into six languages. To be clear: what you eat and drink there is ordered and paid at the konoba. It is never part of the charter price.

The bay itself is worth the stop even if you do not eat. It is protected from the prevailing summer wind, so the water stays flat, and the swimming off the boat is easy and clear.
