Šolta

The island everyone passes on the way to Hvar. Thirty minutes from Trogir, three harbour villages, olive groves, and bays that stay empty because nobody thinks to stop.

Maslinica sits on the western tip: a row of stone houses around a small marina, a handful of konobas, and the best sunset aspect on the island. It is the stop most of our guests remember.

Around the corner, Šešula is a deep, pine-lined inlet — almost no swell, deep shade by early afternoon, and the kind of water that makes people cancel the rest of the itinerary. Stomorska, on the eastern side, is the oldest fishing settlement on Šolta and the quieter of the two villages.

Šolta works particularly well when the wind is up. There is nearly always a sheltered side, which is why it is our default when the forecast is marginal.
